Terms of Service
1. Welcome, and what you are agreeing to
Thank you for being here. These terms are the simple agreement between you and The Daily Faith ("we," "us," or "our"), the publisher of this devotional. By subscribing to or reading The Daily Faith, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, that is okay, please do not subscribe. We have tried to write this in plain language, because trust is the whole point of what we do.
2. What The Daily Faith is
The Daily Faith is a free daily Christian devotional delivered by email. Each morning we send one short reading: a verse of Scripture, a brief reflection, a one-line prayer, and a thought to carry into your day. That is the whole service. It is one-way. We send the devotional, and you read it. We do not charge for it, and the daily devotional will not sit behind a paywall.
We may improve, pause, or change parts of the service over time. We will try to do so thoughtfully and to keep the daily reading dependable, because the rhythm is the point.
3. Scripture, AI, and what this is not
Our Scripture comes only from the Berean Standard Bible (BSB) and the World English Bible (WEB), both of which are in the public domain. We always tell you which translation a verse is from.
We are honest about how the devotional is made. Each reading is written with the help of AI and then checked against our standards before it is sent.
The Daily Faith is offered for spiritual encouragement only. It is not professional advice of any kind. It is not medical, mental-health, psychological, financial, legal, or pastoral counseling, and it is not a substitute for any of those. Please do not rely on the devotional in place of care from a qualified professional. If you are making an important decision about your health, your money, or your wellbeing, talk to a licensed professional who knows your situation.
4. If you are in crisis
If you are in distress or thinking about harming yourself, please reach out for real help right now. In the United States you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, any time, day or night. If you are somewhere else, or if it is an emergency, please contact your local emergency services. You are not alone, and you deserve support from a real person who can help. The Daily Faith is a daily reading, not a crisis service, and it cannot respond to emergencies.
5. No warranties
We offer The Daily Faith with care, but we offer it "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not promise that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or delivered on time, or that it will be suitable for any particular purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Daily Faith and the people who work on it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service, even if we have been told such losses are possible. Because the service is free, our total liability to you for any claim relating to it is limited to the amount you paid us, which is zero. Some places do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you, and nothing here is meant to limit liability that cannot be limited by law.
7. What belongs to us
The Daily Faith name, logo, design, the look and feel of our website and emails, and the original reflections, prayers, and thoughts we write are owned by The Daily Faith or used with permission. The Scripture itself is public domain and belongs to no one. You are welcome to read, enjoy, and forward our emails to friends in their normal form. Please do not copy our brand, republish our content at scale, or present our writing as your own without our permission.
8. Acceptable use
We ask only that you use The Daily Faith honestly and kindly. Please do not:
- sign up someone else's email address without their permission;
- use the service to send spam, harass anyone, or break the law;
- try to disrupt, overload, scrape, or gain unauthorized access to our systems; or
- misuse our name or content to mislead people.
If someone misuses the service, we may suspend or end their access to protect our subscribers and our delivery reputation.
9. Unsubscribing and ending the service
You are always free to go. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe, and unsubscribing is the only commitment you ever need to leave. When you unsubscribe, these terms stop applying to your future use of the service, though a few sections that by their nature should continue, such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability, will still apply to past use. We may also pause or discontinue the service, in whole or in part, if we ever need to.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make a meaningful change, we will update the effective date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will let subscribers know. If you keep using The Daily Faith after a change takes effect, that means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware and the applicable laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. We will always try to sort out any concern with you directly and in good faith first, so please reach out before anything formal.
