The Daily Faith
How This Is Made
1. Who writes The Daily Faith
The Daily Faith is published by an organization, not a person. There is no pastor behind these words, no invented author with a name and a photo, no first-person story we are asking you to take on faith. We think that is the more honest way to run a devotional built with the help of AI, so we say it plainly instead of dressing it up in a human voice that does not exist.
2. Written with AI, held to a standard
Each morning's reading is drafted with the help of AI. We believe honesty about the method is a trust asset, not a liability, so we say it here and in the footer of every email and every page: this devotional is written with AI and published by The Daily Faith.
A draft is never sent on its own say-so. Before anything reaches your inbox, it has to pass a set of checks that do not bend, described below.
3. Our editorial standards
Every issue is measured against the same standard before it can be scheduled. No single reviewer, human or AI, can approve an issue alone.
- Scripture is checked byte for byte. Every verse we quote is compared against our stored, public-domain text (the Berean Standard Bible or the World English Bible) and must match exactly, with the translation named.
- Every reference has to be real. Any Scripture citation anywhere in the issue is checked against the actual verse it claims to be.
- No em dashes, ever. It is a small thing, but it is one of the ways we keep the voice consistent and human-sounding rather than machine-flavored.
- A fixed shape, every time. Scripture, a short reflection, one honest line of prayer, and a thought to carry. The structure is checked before anything ships.
- An independent review panel, not one voice. Separate reviewers, running independently of one another, each look at the issue through a different lens: the Scripture and doctrine itself, pastoral sensitivity, brand voice and quality, compliance and safety, and an adversarial read looking for anything that slipped through. Every one of them has to approve before an issue can go out. A single objection sends it back for another draft, or holds it entirely. There is no human rubber stamp and no single point of failure.
4. Scripture, exactly as written
We only ever quote the Berean Standard Bible or the World English Bible, both public domain, and we always say which one. We do not use a paraphrase or a copyrighted translation, and we never let an AI draft the verse itself. The verse text always comes from a fixed, stored copy that we check the draft against.
5. What this is not
The Daily Faith sends a daily devotional. That is all it does. It is a one way morning email, not a conversation. There is no AI standing in for a pastor, no AI answering your questions, and no AI offering counsel for grief or crisis. If you ever reach out to us about something heavy, a real person reads it and responds, and if you are in crisis in the United States, please call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline right away.
